    I kept trying to figure it out, develop a plan tha I kept trying to figure it out, develop a plan that would *finally* make everything feel right. But it wasn’t working. 

And then I started this book. Surrendering Certainty by @abbymcdonaldwriter arrived in the middle of my wrestling with next steps in my work. 

God is working on me through these pages. He’s teaching more about who He is and how He loves me. And He is reminding me: the BEST answers come when we know Him well. 

As you look through these quotes, which one speaks to you today?
    Flashback Friday! This boy just finished his first Flashback Friday! This boy just finished his first year of college. He’s significantly taller but still has a great smile and gives the best hugs.

Let’s not be so busy racing through our days that we forget to look back at the beautiful moments. 

What is one beautiful flashback Friday moment you’re celebrating today?
    As a writer, I spend a lot of time alone. I don’ As a writer, I spend a lot of time alone. I don’t get to see you read my words (that would probably be weird 😂)

That’s why it’s such a gift to see my words in the wild. Knowing God will use them to encourage people makes every lonely writing moment worth it!

    Am I allowed to say this? Our getaway to Stowe, Ve Am I allowed to say this? Our getaway to Stowe, Vermont was great but it was also hard. 

It was the first time we went away without my two older kids. I loved having time with my youngest but even she felt the awkwardness—like wearing clothing that is good but doesn’t fit quite right. 

Here’s the reality: good things can feel hard or awkward or sad. It doesn’t mean it isn’t good. 

I had time with two of my favorite people at the @vontrappresort in beautiful Stowe. Even with the hard parts, I am grateful. 

Plus, the food was really good! 😆
